Ebook About An infant bottle-feeding aversion is one of the most complex, stressful and confusing situations parents could face. Baby becomes distressed at feeding times and refuses to feed or eats very little despite obvious hunger. Why won’t he/she eat? This is a question parents ask numerous health professionals while searching for a solution. Babies are typically diagnosed with one, two or three medical conditions to explain their aversive feeding behavior during brief appointments. Consequently, many parents don’t receive an effective solution from the health professionals they consult. This is why this book is so necessary. Rowena Bennett is an Australian nurse who holds professional qualifications in various nursing fields including pediatrics, midwifery, child health, mental health and lactation consultant. She has over 20 years experience advising parents how to resolve infant feeding and sleeping problems. Rowena has helped over 1000 babies get over their aversion to bottle-feeding and enjoy feeding once again. Parents claim the relief is life changing. In Your Baby’s Bottle-feeding Aversion, Rowena describes the various reasons babies display aversive feeding behavior, explains how the reader can identify the cause, and describes effective solutions. Included are step-by-step instructions on how to resolve a behavioral feeding aversion that occurs as a result of being repeatedly pressured to feed - the most common of all reasons for babies to become averse to feeding. Your Baby’s Bottle-feeding Aversion provides practical professional feeding advice that not only makes good sense, it works!Book Your Baby’s Bottle-feeding Aversion: Reasons and Solutions. Review :
I am so grateful I stumbled upon this book when I did. My daughter was showing early signs of bottle aversion but I, like a lot of parents apparently, was attributing it to reflux. Then the bottles. Then the formula. Maybe we need different nipples. Maybe she's going through a development leap and is just fussy. Sore throat, ear infection, Mars in retrograde. There are a million possible reasons why a baby might get cranky about eating, and that's part of the problem. But the answer for us was pretty simple and completely of my own making- I was pressuring her to eat. We practice pace feeding, but I was still offering the bottle way too often because I had become fixated on the number of ounces our pediatrician said she needed, instead of paying attention to what my daughter was telling me. It's a terrible feeling knowing you created this horrible situation, but also a massive relief knowing you can fix it. Overall the info and solutions offered in the book are pretty simple, common sense even, but most importantly- effective. I read the book in 2 days, and within a week we had our happy eater back.Even if you aren't having bottle troubles with your little one, I recommend this book to help you maintain a healthy feeding relationship with your babe, and be able to recognize early problems. Spoilers: if you have a healthy breastfed baby who refuses the bottle, the only advice this book offers is to stop breastfeeding and only offer bottles. This is written for bottle fed babies, and it looks like it's really helpful for those families. I can't imagine if my daughter wouldn't breast OR bottle feed. But, for me... I wish I knew it was not going to offer any practical advice for breastfed babies. After skimming, and reading that one paragraph that pertains to my situation, I am returning my copy. It was VERY slightly bent on arrival, so I returned it as damaged but I'm actually returning because it didn't have the information I expected it to have.
